“I used to feel nervous playing against real people and mostly stuck to casual games. The lessons helped me understand what to focus on, and now I feel much more confident sitting down to play a full game.”

ABOUT THE COACH
I’m a US National Master with over 15 years of playing experience and more than 3 years of coaching experience. Before coaching independently, I also worked with students at a chess school in Ukraine. I focus on helping students understand positions rather than simply memorize moves — so they can make better decisions when the game leaves familiar territory.

WHO I USUALLY WORK WITH
Different goals require different preparation, but the strongest progress always begins with consistent, thoughtful work.
1
Identify recurring mistakes, missed opportunities, and difficult decisions.
2
Work on the structures, calculations, and decisions that repeatedly appear in your chess.
3
Turn what we find into focused opening work, practical training, and tournament preparation.
WHERE COACHING MAKES THE BIGGEST DIFFERENCE
01
Find the habits and decisions keeping your results flat.
02
Prepare openings, likely structures, and a realistic plan.
03
Learn plans, pawn structures, and the questions behind the moves.
04
Turn repeat mistakes and missed chances into a precise training plan.
05
Build the strategic language to evaluate positions with more confidence.
06
Develop a more reliable process when the position demands a real decision.
